How we got started
The Juneau Garden Club was founded in 1927 and as a civic organization, continues to be committed to the beautification of the Alaska state capital and sharing local gardening knowledge. As a social organization, it's a place to meet friends and share common goals. Through many changes over the years, the spirit of friendship, education, service, and giving remains.
What we do
Juneau is a unique and challenging gardening location. Our experienced members share their decades of knowledge. New members fuel us with their enthusiasm. We engage in civic projects to beautify our city. Annually we host the Mother's Day Plant Sale that kicks off the short but intense growing season!
